What’s the fastest-growing shade tree or plant for Houston?

I've been noticing how much cooler my Houston home feels with the addition of shade, and I'm on the hunt for the fastest-growing shade tree or plant to maximize this effect. Can anyone provide insights into which options tend to grow rapidly in our region? I want to shade the southwest 2nd story corner of my house in particular.

I had Japanese Blueberry or the Thuja Green Giant in mind but unsure if they can withstand the heat/cold fronts.
