What’s it like living near the energy corridor?

Looking at a potential move for a job located there in the energy corridor.. would be moving from San Antonio.

I refuse to live more than 30 minutes from work any longer so if be looking for a house near there.

What's that area like? Plenty of food options? Any other info?
