What’s going on at Channel 2?

I’d love to hear behind the scenes from people who actually work or worked at KPRC Channel 2. Obviously, something is going on and it seems to be connected to new management. So many anchors and reporters leaving, many have been there for a long time, and just lots of changes. I know Lauren Freeman and Christine Noel recently left. Lauren Freeman partially gave a reason that the new management didn’t want any part-time employees, and that wouldn’t work for her, during an interview with Ivory Hecker on YouTube. No one else seems to be speaking. Courtney Zavala just disappeared from Houston Life midweek without a proper goodbye is the most recent and heartbreaking to me. So, I’m curious to know any facts from behind the scenes that people actually know. I know a lot of us can just assume and guess, but I’m curious to hear from anyone actually in the know. On a side note, a close family member of mine was a weatherman there for many many years. He was forced to retire in the mid 90s when new management came on board, so there’s been a history of this on and off for years, but just curious what’s going on now. Anyone?
