What was up with IAH today? A sudden flood of regional jets.

I know some of you work there for United or the airport. Probably for like an hour and a half there was normal traffic, but it was mostly regional jets, and from all over the place. Were these for repositioning, or for work, or crew hours? It was almost normal for a bit.
