What venues should I keep an eye on to catch rock shows?

I moved to College Station a year or so ago, and been getting my concert fix via Houston and Austin, but most of the ones I go to I get via word of mouth from my friends. What are some good venues to watch for hard rock/alt/indie/punk shows?
