What to do with a road runner?

Since early this morning, we’ve had a very angry road runner standing on our incomplete fence. He appears more scared than angry to be honest, but he enlarges himself when we come near. I believe it’s a road runner but not an expert so maybe someone else knows more. He’s stood getting rained on each time it’s come by today so I’m thinking he may be too hurt to travel? I don’t want anything bad to happened to the little thing.
