What the Astros mean to me.
This may be a weird post, but I just wanted to comment on what this team/community means to me. In the fall of 2022 my dad called me and ask if I wanted to go to a World Series game. I had never been to an Astros game before, but had followed them as a kid since he was a fan. He asked if I could get time off for game six of the World Series and I was able too. My brother and I met him in houston and we got to enjoy the city before the game. Obviously the Astros won and it was an incredible experience by itself. Fast forward a few months and I was told my father was suffering from ALS(Lou Gehrig’s). It was devastating to find this out and I left my job to care for him. We spent a lot of his last day watching and enjoying Astros games on tv(despite how last season went) and I wouldn’t replace those memories for anything in the world. Since he’s past I’ve really enjoyed getting into the fan base. I just wanted to say thank yall for being suck a great fan base to get into.
