What rights to the Texans have?

I hear all this about who can make the best trade from a Deshaun standpoint and ditto from a Texans standpoint. Deshaun wants to go to a team that will likely be good and not have really high draft picks. Also, one that has younger talent and not older talent.

The Texans want a lousy team with young talent and good draft choices (likely) for the next 2-3 years.

If you read some of the articles, they infer the Texans are over a barrel. Is that so? The Texans ultimate position is that they do not have to trade him and can keep him, whether he plays or not. In fact, they could even franchise him going forward. I suppose they could even activate him again, whatever good that would do. It is not in his interest to sit on the sideline and build up more rust.

I hope someone will enlighten me on this.
