What rain gear is your preference in Houston?

My entire life I've gotten soaked in the rain and not cared. Lately I've been thinking of changing that.

So what do you use given Houston's intermittent-rain and flood-prone climate? What would you suggest? Umbrella or Raincoat or Poncho or Rainboots or Shoeovers. Or something else?
