What makes everyone remain loyal to the Astros?

Hi everyone! I’m in graduate school and it’s time to write my final paper. It’s a qualitative research paper and the question is this:

What makes a fan of the Houston Astros remain loyal to the team?

It could be any reason no judgement. I know most people are going to be like “because that’s my team” but if you could dig deeper that would be good.

I chose this topic because back when I was a kid and the Astros didn’t play so good, the stadium was always empty and sad looking. It didn’t seem like they had supporters, or at least supporters willing to show up for a game until they got better.
