What is the new neighbor etiquette?

Hi all, I am new to Houston and US both. I just moved into our new house here, I was wondering what is the common etiquette for a new neighbor is? Should I visit the surrounding neighbors for introduction? If yes, how many neighbors? Should I bring any goodies with me? I hope it is not considered rude to randomly knock on their door?
