What is the motorcycle scene like in H-town?
As the title states, Im curious as to how friendly/welcoming, is the motorcycle scene here in Houston. Im thinking of getting a Ninja 400 for my first bike as ive always loved the thrill of seeing one pass by. But as I think more and more about it, i dont see very many motorcycles, anywho i digress.
Just was curious are the riders "Friendly" here? Are there group meets/rides and such? Is there certain parts of town that have more bikers than others, or places where bikers like to congregate? Because one thing that really catches my eye about to whole biking scene is the community seems fun to be around if your with the right people. And I would like to experience that.
And as for riding in Houston, Ive seen how many say its flat and boring, but im sure theres more better roads if you go far out. So what streets, roads, or places are nice to ride or just cruise? I dont mind straight riding 45 or 610 when wanting to go fast, but you know some twisties or roads without a stop light/Sign every 30 seconds is also fun.
