What is happening in Midtown?

What is happening in Midtown, it seems like every other store is closing, whether permanently or temporary. I'm guessing leases are just up or something

This is what I know has closed the past few months – Whole Foods – 24 hour fitness – Ola Cafe ( opened in Jan) – Jinya Ramen ( sounds like it's temporary thankfully)

Maybe I'm just tripping because I live near there and it's stuff I go but it seems like a lot is closing in midtown
