What is a good Tex Mex place here? That’s not el tempo, ninfas, los cucos or Lupe’s tortilla

My bf is from San Antonio and he says there’s no good Tex Mex places here in Houston. He’s not talking about Mexican restaurants. I’m trying to prove him wrong lol. I took him to Lopez he likes it but he says it’s too expensive. He’s looking for cheap hole in the wall places nothing fancy or chains that’s really good that has a guisada taco not carne guisada taco but a guisada taco. Any recommendations?
