What happened to David Weekley homes?

Does anyone have any idea what happened to David Weekley Homes? They used to be an amazing builder back in the day! They built beautiful homes! Now they build extremely ugly tiny homes, all of my neighbors are having HVAC and plumbing issues too and refusing to fix them. Neighbor told me their plumbing backed up and they refused to warranty it and said they were using butt wipes (they were not). Neighbor paid $3200 for the plumber to pull a brick from their main sewage line and fix a low spot/belly. Someone whose brother works in the business told me that Weekley hired DR Horton and Lennar consultants, and are cutting corners, material/build quality, to prepare the company for an IPO. I don’t live in a Weekley (loved the price point but couldn’t stomach how ugly the home was) but the development I live in has now kicked David Weekley out because the homes were lowering the value of the neighborhood. Does anyone know what the heck they are doing?
