What do y’all think of Westchase District?

I recently graduated and got a job in the Westchase district! I visited the area and it really seems like a mixed bag. One street will seem really nice and safe, and the next one will seem seedier. I’d love to walk/bike to work instead of drive— so that’s a motivator for me to move to Westchase. I want to avoid the standard Houston commute as much as I can. Any advice or thoughts on if it’s safe/desirable for a recent college grad to seek out apartments in Westchase?
