What do the fish in Braes Bayou eat?

After watching a bunch of You Tube guys successfully catch some massive carp and bass on Braes Bayou, I figured I’d have my go at it. Found a great spot near Buffalo Speedway around sun down and saw plenty of fish. They appeared to be maybe carp and were schooling in large numbers. I was casting right into them and they ignored any type of bait I put in front of them. I tried everything I could think of from plastics, to crank bait, top bait, jigs, shads, grubs, even through on some catfish stink bait and blood bait I had. If it was in the tackle box, I sent it out to in the water. They just ignored most of it. Like not even a little nibble.

It was maddening seeing so many fish and them not even biting. Any suggestions what bait might be more successful?
