What can realistically be done about traffic in this city?

I had to drive from the woodlands into downtown this morning and it felt like morning rush hour did a few years ago. On a Saturday. Yes I realize it’s spring break but most weekends are getting to be like this. Obviously we can’t keep people from moving here but goddamn, it’s getting to be almost unbearable. Raise the speed limits? Widen the roads even more?
