What can a tourist who loves to eat do in Houston ?

I almost never post on reddit but I finally have a valid reason to, yay !

Title sums it up, I'm from France and will spend a full week in Houston taking advantage of a friend's business trip. So I will be alone during the day and free to explore and …. eat.

Any good tips, activities, places you'd recommend ? Anything, really, would be appreciated.

Lastly, if you feel like being super kind / wish to meet up to proudly show your city around, that would be incredible.
