What are some of the biggest problems you think Houston is facing?

Hi all, For a bit of context: my final essay for English this semester will address an issue in Houston with some sort of proposed solution.

I’m hoping to avoid some of the blatantly obvious ones (poor walkability, heavy traffic, etc.) but having trouble thinking of other issues. Of course my first instinct was to go to Google, alas I figured it could be better to ask other houston residents directly. I would love to write this paper on something that feels obscure or looked over and would greatly appreciate any and all opinions!
