What are some most Texan/Southern places in Houston you would take a European to?

A friend of mine is coming to visit from Europe and it will be his first time in the US. I already know he will be shocked how big everything here is. Now I am trying to figure out where I can take him to experience this place better. What are some truly Texan or Southern things around Houston I can take him to? Anything goes: things to see, eat, do.

I am thinking steakhouses, bbq, food trucks, crawfish bar, shooting range.
