What are good neighborhoods to live in?

I’m coming from the west coast and I’m in my early twenties with a solid job. I’m just looking for a safe area to live in given that I’ve moving halfway across the country and I’ll have no idea about anything. I’ve heard Houston has a lot of crime, but I also lived in San Fran for a while so I’ve dealt with that before, I just would prefer not to get my car or house broken into. Literally any information about anything related to this city would be extremely helpful!
