Well after my post about the beauties of nature that I found in Houston my “honeymoon” phase is over. ODs suck to watch.
I’m visiting Houston and I made a post yesterday about how beautiful some of the parks were and how I genuinely loved this city. Some dude in the comments said that I was going through a honeymoon phase with Houston. I didn’t think much of it and I thought that I wouldn’t be here long enough to have any issues. I was walking back from the event that I’ve been a part of and I saw a fleet of ambulances parked near the intersection. I’ve been desensitized to ambulances during my visit. I’ve seen about ten a day. We kept walking a ways and then we saw a fleet of EMT surrounding some poor guy on the sidewalk. He was pretty fucked up and based on my understanding of ODs that’s what was going on. My poor little sensitive heart is taking that s**t hard. I doubt anyone would know because they happen often but I really hope that dude is ok.
I’m just sad. That was pretty rough to watch and I’m sure it happens so many times a day. So yeah. Big cities aren’t for me. I’m not sure how to deal with this but it fucked with me. I’ve watched people die and I’m pretty sure this guy may have made it but it messed with me way more. It’s just so rough to see a guy completely unresponsive and functioning as a shell of a human.
