Weird theory about C.J. this year…

We can all see that, while still being amazing for a second year QB, CJ has some struggles this year. He doesn't seem to be as calm in the pocket, as accurate in the throws or as good with the reads. Lots of football reasons for this – O line play, teams having more footage of him, Nico being out, etc.

But I keep thinking, could anything else be contributing?

We all know CJ is a man of faith. He wasted no time last year letting the team, the media and the fans know where he stood spiritually. I personally loved that about him.

This year though… I don't see as much evidence of that in the media. In his words, his attire, his interviews, etc. Maybe I've just missed it? Im in a different market now and don't get to see a lot of interviews with him.

But I wondered if maybe he's having some personal identity crises, and possibly in the areas of faith. Could it be a "Samson-like" situation, where a crisis of faith has caused him to lose his mojo?

Ha, sorry for getting all existential. But I feel for the dude and am pulling hard for him to pull out of this tough stretch. And I hope it happens all over the Colts….
