We are looking for a day trip or possibly an overnight trip somewhere within driving distance of Houston. Any ideas?

We’ve been down to Gonzales, Victoria, corpus, up to Fredrickburg, even up to Dallas shudders and to Glen Rose. We’ve gone to Lafayette as well.

Any other places you guys would recommend?

We would like to be no more than 2-4 hours from home.

Edit: sorry guys I don’t know why I didn’t list all the big cities like San Antonio and Austin.

And if I have to recommend any place hands down would be Glen Rose. Went several times as a kid and just went last year, it was exactly as I remembered it! (Though a ton more crowded!)
