Watson Trade Hypothetical

This is just a Hypothetical situation and was curious to see what the majority would want us to do (Not what we think the Texans will do, cause we all know that could wildly different).

For the sake of the discussion, let’s say the Texans wait and the Dolphins make us an offer and we accept it because of value and the Watson situation isn’t getting better.

Dolphins get: Deshaun Watson

Texans get: Tua, Xavien Howard, 2021 3rd overall, 2021 18 overall, and 2022 1st.

Let’s also say that the Jags take Trevor Lawerence #1 overall and Zach Wilson goes #2 overall to the Jets.

What would you want the Texans to do with the 3rd pick? Trade down? Pick another QB? Pick BPA

If this was the trade, I personally would like them to take Jamarr Chase (at #3) to pair with Cooks. This would give two good WRs to allow us to see what Tua has.

My thought process is that if we go 4-12 with Watson, if Tua doesn’t show us anything, we probably still have a top 3 pick next year. And I’m not a huge Fields, Lance or Jones fan to think they are so much better than Tua (I think Wilson and Lawerence are).
