Watson can’t afford fines from the Texans

People forget Watson doesn’t have theat much money in the bank. He’s earned 51 million in salary. After taxes and management fees, he’s probably got 20-25 million left. After his lifestyle, cars, house(a), and other expenses, he’s probably got around 5-10 million in expenditures. Sponsorships probably around 5-10 million total, which leaves him with 15-20 million cash on hand.

His legal expenses are probably 2-5 million for Rusty. Rusty is billing a ton of hours and is a top tier lawyer. He charged the state around 588k in 2014, he’s expensive. Then you factor in he’s going to have to pay 5-10 million to settle his civil suits most likely, this leaves him with very little money.

Watson isn’t going to risk living like a normal person. He no longer gets free swag or meals due to his tarnished reputation. He’s probably borderline broke after the lawsuits and is depending on this upcoming season for money.

He’s not sitting out this year, and he’s not going to risk getting fined. Let’s stop acting like Watson will give up his checks. He can’t afford to give them up.
