Water/gas bills

Is anyone else frustrated and confused with their utility bills? I understand electricity being more expensive due to the heat and energy prices, but my water and gas bills are outrageous. Gas last month was ~$85 but we used 3, yes THREE, ccf of gas probably to cook like one meal. That “cost” was something like $1 or $2, but the remaining $80+ was all kinds of fees. Then my water bill this month was about $120, but only about half of that was water/sewer/trash. They don’t explain the fees at all and they obviously have the market cornered. Sorry for the rant just wondering if anyone else is seeing this.
