Hello, friends, do you like baseball? Do you like games? Do you like sharing experiences with a tight-knit community and building comradery among fellow enthusiasts? How about incredible amounts of shitposting?

If you said yes to any number of those questions, then we invite you to join us at r/FakeBaseball and in our Discord server! We are Major League Redditball, which is a fun pastime with easy mechanics and a slew of opportunities to have fun, make friends, and get involved. We're a global community of 450+ active Discord members and over 2000 subreddit subscribers and about to enter our 8th season.

Here's how the game works: Pitcher submits a hidden pitch numbered 1-1000. Batter submits a public swing numbered 1-1000. The pitch is revealed and the at bat is resulted based on the difference! So if the batter's swing ends up really close to the pitch, then they're getting on base. The opposite? They're out and waiting their next time to go. We're looking for rookie pitch-slingers and brand new bat flippers to join our community and have a good time! Rookies will showcase their skills in Fake College Baseball after they create their character, ultimately to be drafted by one of 30 MLB teams for their rookie season!

This game and this community are what you make of it! Spend just a few minutes a week playing Fake Baseball? Sure! Or, you can hang out in the Discord and mingle with people from all walks of life! Maybe showcase your art skills making a lineup card! Run some fancy data analytics on past pitches to try and increase your odds? Or vote for the Player of the Game and in power rankings, perhaps. You could even boast about your leadership skills by becoming a team captain or running for a League Operations position! Even just shooting the breeze and shitposting with fellow players is the ultimate way to spend free time and make friends. The goal is just to have fun.
