Want new ID picture DPS

So it says I’m eligible to renew online, but I haven’t gotten a new picture since 2015. (Last time i renewed in person). I want to get a new pic and have an appointment for 3PM today, but I’m not sure if I can come in with just my old ID. do I need to bring any other documents if I’m eligible to renew online?

Also should I just renew online and then go in and make a duplicate (ask them to take a new pic?) I don’t have my SSN card or birth certificate with me in Houston. Just wondering how this all works.
