Walking from Daikin Park Post Astros Game……..

I am visiting Houston for work next week and I am going to take in an Astros game Tuesday night. I have never visited Houston before and I am just curious what the downtown neighborhood is like after a game in terms of being safe. I plan to walk to hotel immediately after the game so I won't be out until the wee hours of the early morning.
