Volunteering opportunities on Thanksgiving?

My grandfather passed away on Thanksgiving last year, so keeping it lowkey and not doing the usual festivities this year. We wanted to honor his memory on his death anniversary – anyone know of any volunteering opportunities on Thanksgiving or the weekend?
