Volunteer Opportunities for Disabled Individuals?

I’m a social worker at a hospital in Houston. I work with adults, usually elderly individuals needing help with rehab and nursing home placement and homeless individuals needing housing help. I currently have a patient who is a young adult and newly paraplegic. He also has a condition that partially limits his arm mobility. He wants to find volunteer opportunities (preferably in person, but online is also ok) so that he can engage with others and have purpose/direction. Mentally he’s very with it and smart and he’s really personable. He is not my usual patient population so I’m not very familiar with resources for the paraplegic and similar communities. Does anyone have any ideas for volunteer opportunities in Houston that are welcoming to disabled individuals?
