Visiting Minute Maid Park

Greetings. I'll be visiting your stadium/town in May. I'll be spending a week in TX starting in Dallas & ending in Dallas. I'll be coming to Houston from San Antonio and a goal of going to a game at Minute Maid Park. Likely will be Wednesday vs the Astros on May 15th.

Questions:

1. Parking recommendations? I'm hoping to get a hotel within walking distance of the stadium but if not how does parking work? Parking garages?
2. To piggy back off question #1. I do see a Holiday Inn within 1 mile off Hamilton Street so really considering that as I would love to just walk to the stadium. I love walking & exploring so just going by google maps Houston looks like a really enjoyable place to explore.
3. Is the stadium tour worth it? I Probably would prefer to just explore the city surrounding the stadium but figured I'd ask.
4. Any must see things around that general area would love to hear.

I do have a flexible schedule. I don't fly out of DFW until Sunday so as long as I get back up to Dallas for a game by Saturday I can spend more time in Houston. Like I mentioned I will be leaving SA early Wednesday morning & have thought of trying to hit up Galveston TX first to check out. Then visiting a friend in Sugar Land briefly before making it to Houston. Any worthy stops around a route like that I'd love to hear.
