Visiting Houston alone, where should I go as a single black woman?

Visiting Houston soon. Curious about where black people hangout? I'm staying in Montrose because it seems to be safest for a woman traveling alone. I'm 26, fit in any crowd but don't want to go anywhere I am not welcomed. Looking for things to do during the day, evening, and night. Open to restaurants, bars, clubs, hangout spots?
