Visiting from Out of Town

Hey All,

Last time I was visiting Houston, this sub was super helpful! I'm coming in from out of town for work, but I have quite a bit of down time. I'll be arriving July 25th and leaving July 27th. I'm already soft-planning to go check out a couple Astros games, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good gyms where I could get a workout in without having to sign up for a membership – happy to pay a day rate. Also wondering if there are any batting cages in the city that are Uber-accessible. Lastly hoping for reccos for restaurants and super down to hang with locals if anyone wants to eat or go to an Astros game or two. Oh and if there are any great spots in the city to grab a baseball glove as I'm from Toronto where baseball is more popular to watch than play and finding a glove is proving to be a pain – and who doesn't love a cool souvenir?

Appreciate any advice you're able to give – last time I was in town I followed Redditor's advice and had a blast. Unfortunately I don't use the same account so I can't remember, and besides, it's been 7 years so I'm sure there's newer things to check out!
