Visiting for a day… What are your favorite places to escape the heat?

My boyfriend just got a job in the city and we’ll be moving to midtown next month.

I’m going to drop him off at work tomorrow so I can explore the city. Stupid, I know, because tomorrow is going to be 102 but I’m just so excited to move here and I’ve got major cabin fever.

Thinking of hitting up some thrift stores, maybe a public pool, get some lunch downtown. I’ll be there for about 9 hours.

Any other suggestions?
