Violent attack against a bicyclist

Yesterday at 4:00 p.m., my husband was biking on Columbia Tap Rails-to-Trails bike path. He was forced off his bike, robbed at gunpoint, then pistol whipped when he gave the wrong passcode for his phone. Amazingly, he rode home…with four broken ribs and a pneumothorax. I took him to an urgent care center, and not long after we got there he developed a tension pneumothorax and almost died (the pressure in his lung and the right-hand side of his chest collapsed). All for a fucking 2020 Iphone and his wallet.

There was another report very much like this a week ago, but that guy fortunately had fewer injuries (my husband is 57 and, like the other victim, also a lifelong biker). He is currently in the ICU. There is a real problem on Columbia Tap bike path, just north of TSU. Please avoid, please be safe, and please be careful.
