Vet for cat with hyperthyroidism

Looking for a new vet that doesn’t ask for bloodwork so frequently. My 18 year old cat has been on the same dose of methimazole for several years. Current vet is asking for labs every 3 months (and writing each prescription for only 3 months) which is way too often for a cat who gets very distressed with blood draws and trips out of the house.
