Vegan Food Truck Korny Vibes Locks Down Its First Restaurant Space

Permanently parked onion ring sliders await in Montrose this month
Korny Vibes is the latest local food truck to announce it’s going the brick-and-mortar route.
The roving health food venture, known for its onion ring sliders and faux poultry offerings, just announced on Facebook its plans to go the restaurant route in Houston by the end of the month. The team didn’t announce the address, but expect it to arrive in the space at 403 Westheimer Road.

Hit items include a seasonal chickn’ steak patty sandwich atop mash potatoes, topped with lentil stuffing and warm gravy; Buffalo ranch chickn’; and barbecue chickn’ “wyngs,”; and jalapeño poppers.
Along with slinging its dishes at events, markets, and festivals like the Vegan State Fair, Korny Vibes has made pop-up appearances at Houston outlets like Black Hole Coffee, Antidote Coffee, and Holler Brewing. Follow its social media handles for updates on new menu offerings and sneak peeks of the in-the-works space.
Just this week, two popular Houston food trucks announced their plans to go brick-and-mortar. Mico’s Hot Chicken plans to open in the Heights in the first quarter of 2020, and roving sensation Sticky’s Chicken will debut its first restaurant in Sawyer Yards on Friday, December 13.
Update 12/26/19: Korny Vibes just announced that it is open starting today. There will be a limited menu for this soft opening, with hours running from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 403 Westheimer Road.
