US regulators sue to block Microsoft’s $69B acquisition of Activision, parent of esports Overwatch League

Microsoft is facing its biggest regulatory challenge in two decades, as the Federal Trade Commission is suing to block its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Under its Blizzard Entertainment arm, Activision Blizzard also operates the Overwatch League, a professional esports league of 20 teams, including the Houston Outlaws.
