"Upload" tv series - Hou Chronicle joke

The TV sci fi comedy "Upload" takes place in the future (2033) where human consciousness can be uploaded to a virtual afterlife upon death. Season 3 just dropped on Prime Video today.

Houston related: In this scene in Season 3 episode 2 , a character is performing a web search and uses "Whataburger GPT" for his search engine. It brings up a news story on the website "Scrub Daddy Houston Chronicle" , which is then hit by a paywall pop up ad asking for a subscription, to prevent him from reading the story for free. The ads on the web page are for Crypto investing and "Avatar Collectibles".

It will be interesting if Hearst Corp decides to sell off The Chronicle in real life. Hearst has owned it since 1987. Scrub Daddy is a real company that makes dish sponges and is worth $300m.

The laptop screen is a translucent hologram. Cell phones on this show work the same way where the user wears a bracelet that acts as a mini projector.
