UPDATED: Local equipment malfunctions keeping approximately 45,000 customers without power

Entergy officials said in a Feb. 16 statement that it has begun additional power outages as well across Eastern Texas, including Jefferson, Orange, Hardin and Liberty counties, in an effort to prevent a more extensive, prolonged outage.
