UPDATED: Beryl likely to bring heavy rains, wind to Houston; more counties added to disaster declaration
In a July 6 update, officials with the National Weather Service said Tropical Storm Beryl is forecast to strengthen into a category 1 hurricane before making landfall likely somewhere south of Matagorda Bay.
