University of Houston holds ribbon-cutting for new Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine building

Although plans for the University of Houston’s College of Medicine began in 2014, UH President and Chancellor Renu Khator said the history of the building goes back to 2008 when the board of regents purchased the 43 acres where the school now sits. She said that even then, they knew that space would be utilized for a college of medicine.
