United Way of Greater Houston names former Anadarko exec as new CEO, president

The United Way of Greater Houston has named a new top executive to lead the organization under its new strategic direction, dubbed “Second Century Vision.”

The nonprofit has appointed Amanda M. McMillian as its new president and CEO, effective May 1. McMillan will succeed Anna M. Babin, who announced in May 2019 she would step down after leading the organization for 14 years once the new CEO was in place.

Babin will remain with United Way as a senior adviser to assist with the transition.
