Underground music scene ?

Any recommendations for new music in Houston? Any type of music where there’s new talent or just local legends to see some shows. I’ve been to the continental club before but I’m more interested in the less popular areas. I recall seeing some sort of “tier list” of Houston music venues and there was one on top that was named after its address, something along the lines of 1887? Or something like that where they had avant garde performances from the “artsy” side of Houston. Anyways, anything would be much appreciated!
