UH Main Campus vs UHD for Undergraduate Biology Major

Hello everyone. I would like to know which university is better overall for an incoming in-state freshman pursuing a biology major, the University of Houston – Main Campus or the University of Houston – Downtown? I have been offered a $3,000 grant from UHD and only subsidized/unsubsidized loans at UH. However, I live 17 minutes away from UH, so it is closer. Also, I have heard that UH carries more prestige and offers better educational resources since it is a Tier 1 school. Therefore, it is much more expensive to go to UH than to UHD but I don't know exactly by how much. I am very conflicted in the end. Any advice and/or personal experiences with either universities would be helpful. Thanks!
