Uber from Galveston to Houston

I’m trying to pre-book an Uber from Galveston back to Houston, and it looks like it’s not letting me do it. Anyone have experience booking an Uber for a ride that far home? Need to see if I should readjust my plans, or if it’s reasonable to assume one can pick me up on the fly the day of.
