Tytus Howard at LT vs Pats?

Looks like Howard could be moved to LT for the Pats game after Tunsil’s did not participate on Friday.

I think this is a blessing I disguise. Tunsil is a Top 5 LT in the NFL in my opinion. However he’s not perfect. He’s given up a small number of sacks, but if DW4 were P Rivers it would be about 8-9 sacks given up. The mobility makes the O-Line stats great.

Also Tytus Howard was drafted to play LT. You don’t draft a tackles as early as we did for RT. Yet bc Bob traded the farm a week later (probably pissed he didn’t get Dillard) we have never seen him there.

Howard developing into even a Top 15 LT could save the Texans franchise. If he plays solid there and shows he is ready (or can be by next season), it could free you up to trade Tunsil for a 1st and 3rd. Not what we gave up, but the next GM needs prices to build. Bob screwed us. Time to move on.

A 1st and 3rd would give us 5 top picks next year AND free up $22M/year in Cap.

I’m all for trading Cooks and Cobb but I think we really need to hang on to Fuller. He can be a game changer for 5 years.

Having DW4, Fuller, and Howard as a LT could set us up for the future GM to build a great Offense.

If Howard CANT play LT then we are screwed and have a 3 year rebuild (which Tunsils contract will be over for and we will have to resign Howard big $)
